Family dinners are a great time to connect with each family member. They are also a wonderful opportunity to help promote positive thinking, the value of helping others, and self-esteem. Following are ten conversation starters to get the most out of your mealtime, bedtime or anytime.

1. What was the best thing that happened in your day today?
2. Name one new thing that you learned today?
3. What did you do today to help someone else?
4. How did you make the world a better place today?
5. What was the funniest thing that happened to you today?
6. What thing did you do today that you are most proud of?
7. What are you thankful for today?
8. What did you do to improve yourself today?
9. What do you want to accomplish tomorrow?
10. What can you do to make someone else's day brighter tomorrow?

Sometimes simple questions start the most amazing conversations. If you give people the opportunity to share their accomplishments they are rewarded for working toward their goals. If you ask others to think about what they did in their day and what they will do tomorrow, it encourages them to live with intention to create a life they are proud of.

Note: These are also great questions to ask yourself at the end of any day.

If you have anything really valuable to contribute to the world
it will come through the expression of your own personality,
that single spark of divinity that sets you off
and makes you different from every other living creature.
