Just as taking a nice hot shower can be a good way to wash away the tensions
of a difficult day, drinking plenty of water can cleanse your body from
the inside out. Sufficient water intake increases productivity of the
neuro synapses in your brain, and promotes a calmer mental state.
The human body is 66% water.
Brain 75%, Heart 75%, Lungs 86%, Muscle 75%, Liver 85%, Kidney 83%, Bone
22%, Blood 83%, Saliva 95%, Perspiration 95%
Emotional issues are the number 1 reason for over-eating. When you are
consuming high quantities of water, your stomach stays naturally full
and you dont look to fill it in times of stress.
Mom always said to drink lots of fluids when you have a cold. Its
true. High quantities of fluids help the body wash out germs and other
contaminants.
Much of todays pre-packed and prepared foods have high quantities
of sodium, nitrates and other chemical toxins we need to reduce in our
bodies. Drinking plenty of water helps provide the carrier for healthy
natural elimination.
Models know this. Drinking sufficient water helps to maintain a healthy
glow in our skin. It also maintains the plumpness of skin cells and reduces
the appearance of wrinkles.
Rather than explain the biochemical explanation for this, just try it
and youll see. Increasing your water intake will dramatically increase
your energy level. Next time youre lagging and you want to reach
for a cup of coffee, try 2 big glasses of water and see how you feel.
Our bodies need a variety of nutrients to maintain health. Paying careful
attention to the balance of carbohydrate, protein and fat intake is vital.
Water is the easy part. When it comes from a fresh and pure source, there
is nothing to worry about in drinking as much as you like. No calories,
no fat, no carcinogens, no nitrates. Just good clean and necessary nutrition.
Our brains function by sending small electronic signals between our neurons.
Water is the primary conduit for these signals. Without proper fluid in
our systems, nerve signals are dulled and impaired. Think about the dehydrated
man in the desert suffering from hallucinations. Try increasing your water
intake before a big test and see what a difference it makes.
Hey, last but not least, it quenches thirst! If you are thirsty and you
have the choice of what to put into your body, which is better for you:
a glass of water or a completely manufactured carbonated beverage (soda)?
You know the answer.

If you have anything really valuable to contribute
to the world
it will come through the expression of your own personality,
that single spark of divinity that sets you off
and makes you different from every other living creature.
